What an exciting day out there! We saw the first Trinity Bay sperm whale in more than 5 years!! And so far it appears to be a new whale to us! We also saw puffins, bald eagles, guillemots and murres.
So far, this sperm whale looks like a new whale to us and is covered in interesting white marks. Even on the underside of his tail.
A cool day on the water today with 5 humpback whales, 1 fin whale, puffins, bald eagles, guillemots and murres.
Beautiful sun and beautiful whales today! 6 humpbacks, 300-400 harp seals, bald eagles, guillemots and murres. We also saw herring gulls diving in and coming up with capelin in their mouths! This is a great sign! The whales will stay if there is something to eat!
